* Day 19 – First Love

Discuss your first love.

This is a toughy for me, because I’m not sure if I should talk about the first guy I THOUGHT I was in love with, or the first one I was actually in love with. Let’s do both.

When I was growing up, in the ‘new age’ of technology and computers, I had my fair share of going to chat rooms. Mostly, AOL and the blue and red user names, asking your ‘A/S/L’ (age, sex, location). Which, come to think of it, was like the perfect question for pedo’s to ask. Hmmm… Oh well. I met a lot of people, guys, this way. One I remember to this day was a guy named Gene. I talked to him every single day. When I got home from school, I would immediately jump on the computer to instant message him, hoping he was also by his computer. (Old school, am I right?) Him and I both said I love you to each other all the time, and he even sent me a huge bouquet of flowers on Valentines day. (Literally, the one and only time I’ve ever gotten roses for V-Day.) He lived in Wisconsin I believe, and I was in Illinois. We never met though… I was never in love with him though, looking back on it.

My first actual love was Chandler. I met him on a dating website actually and he only lived one town over. I was about 21 or so, and of course we met in real life and dated on and off for about 5 years. I may not love him anymore, but I definitely did love him when we were dating. We had so much in common and had great chemistry. Even talked about getting married one day (planned colors and everything). We broke up several times over silly things, and some not so silly things. I moved out of state for a fresh start for myself, and we somehow started talking again and he moved out here for me. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out. We fought almost every day. He then moved back after only a few months.

And now I’m single cause, as I’ve mentioned, I suck at relationships. 🙂 ##

Day… uh crap…

So, I left my writing challenge list at work (uuuuggggg) so, I won’t be updating that today. But, I did have a very interesting dream last night that I will write about instead! Be warned, you’re diving inside my head, so hang on. 🙂

Bear with me, it’s almost noon now and I woke up at about 8am. I couldn’t find my phone, so I wasn’t able to record my dream as it was fresh in my mind. Excuse my ramblings; you have been warned again.

This dream took place at my dads house. But, it was about half the size, the living room is where the kitchen is, my bedroom was where the living room was, no kitchen, and a toilet sat in the middle with only a tiny half wall surrounding it. I was living with a boyfriend (Tony – a guy I haven’t even thought about in like 8 years!) and we were setting up for a party. I think we were both stoned or something because I remember a lot of the dream, him sleeping and me looking at myself sleeping. I know there was a huge stereo blasting music and not effecting us at all. It was dark outside, and no one showed up to the party. Remembering how small the place was, I honestly don’t know how anyone would have fit in there comfortably. Anyways, I finally wake up from sleeping half the dream, to look for my animals. They were all outside (including my indoor cats!!) and I flipped out.

This is part of the dream where I get pissed. I open the sliding glass door to see my cat Jynx (the black one) meowing at my sight and walking back inside. Sokka (the kitten) was just laying down, chillin’ outside, like nothing out of the ordinary going on. Next thing I saw was Ludo (sisters dog) with a ton of strings wrapped around his body, running around, freaking out. (understandably) I finally got a hold of him and get the strings off. The other dog (not my dog Dobby, but another dog named Luna) who also had strings on her and I freed her as well. I walk to the backyard to see a couple of bowls of food for them, which I assumed Tony put out for them. They were half wet food and half, uh, 2 inch cooked steaks. This food choice was already strange to me, but then I see under a tree, 5 HUGE STEAKS just laying in the grass for my pets. Like, wtf? I was sooooo upset (I’m fairly emotional in my dreams) So I grabbed a couple steaks that were half the size of my arm, bring them into the house and yell at Tony; who is still sleeping. Now that I think of it, maybe I’m not sure it was him, I never really saw his face. *shrugs*

Then, I forgive him quickly, dress down to my undies and press my body up against his, that STILL LAYING IN BED.

And then it ends. ##

Little poem I did the other day.

* Day 17 – Zodiacs

Uggggg, really? Do I really have to do this one? >.>

Post about your zodiac sign, and whether or not it fits you.

This is pulled from a website when looking up Scorpio. I will put my commentary in [ ] ‘s.

Element: Water [Why? Aren’t scorpions desert critters?]

Quality: Fixed [No clue what this means]

Color: Scarlet, Red, Rust [I actually am not a fan of red at all]

Day: Tuesday [Fridays]

Ruler: PlutoMars [Ooh, I do like these two planets!]

Greatest Overall Compatibility: TaurusCancer [I think my sister is a cancer]

Lucky Numbers: 8, 11, 18, 22 [Nope, 9]

Date range: October 23 – November 21 [October 26th, just made the cut!]

Strengths: Resourceful, brave, passionate, stubborn, a true friend [….really hate that this is accurate]

Weaknesses: Distrusting, jealous, secretive, violent [omg, stop it… I mean, no, I’m none of these things! >.>  <.<  >.> ]

Scorpio likes: Truth, facts, being right, longtime friends, teasing, a grand passion [A grand passion? Who says that?]

Scorpio dislikes: Dishonesty, revealing secrets, passive people [Dishonesty would line up with liking truth… good detective work]

Scorpio-born are passionate and assertive people. They are determined and decisive, and will research until they find out the truth. Scorpio is a great leader, always aware of the situation and also features prominently in resourcefulness. [Mkay, lemme stop you there. I’m rarely assertive and definitely not a great leader. I have found this out the hard way.]

Scorpio is a Water sign and lives to experience and express emotions. Although emotions are very important for Scorpio, they manifest them differently than other water signs. In any case, you can be sure that the Scorpio will keep your secrets, whatever they may be. [Oh. This is what water sign meant. Yeah, they got me here. I’m pretty damn emotional…]

Pluto is the planet of transformation and regeneration, and also the ruler of this zodiac sign. Scorpios are known by their calm and cool behavior, and by their mysterious appearance. [aka ‘Bitch-face’] People often say that Scorpio-born are fierce, probably because they understand very well the rules of the universe. [*rolling eyes soooo hard*] Some Scorpio-born can look older than they actually are. [I still get carded for alcohol and I’m almost 30.] They are excellent leaders because they are very dedicated to what they do. [Again, not accurate] Scorpios hate dishonesty and they can be very jealous and suspicious, so they need to learn how to adapt more easily to different human behaviors. [So, is this just summing up everything from earlier?] Scorpios are brave and therefore they have a lot of friends. [No. I have a very close tight group of friends. Like, you can count them on one hand.]

Well, that’s all. As you might be able to tell, I’m not a fan of these. It’s total hokum and no proof these are accurate with birth. It depends on many other factors other than the universe ‘picking’ your personality. Either way, hope you enjoyed! Let me know your signs and if you agree! ##

* Day 14 – Favorite Movies

Post your favorite movies that you never get tired of watching.

movieposterTalladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby – I’m a huge Will Ferrel fan, so this is one movie that I would probably watch every day if I could. I’m not really sure why? I personally hate Nascar, but this movie kinda makes fun of it a little bit and that’s why I enjoy it, I think. Plus, there are SO many one-liners. And a great cast!

MV5BMzUxNzkzMzQtYjIxZC00NzU0LThkYTQtZjNhNTljMTA1MDA1L2ltYWdlL2ltYWdlXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMTMxODk2OTU@._V1_UX182_CR0,0,182,268_AL_Elf – Again, Will Ferrel. This is my go-to Christmas movie. Although, I’m okay with watching this any time of the year. Zooey Deschanel plays a blonde in this as well, and she is just adorable and sings a lot in it too! Great voice, she has. I just love when Buddy finally gets to New York and discovers the most basic things for the first time. I just love it.

MV5BMDdmZGU3NDQtY2E5My00ZTliLWIzOTUtMTY4ZGI1YjdiNjk3XkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyNTA4NzY1MzY@._V1_UY1200_CR88,0,630,1200_AL_Titanic – Call me a sap, because I still cry at the end when Jack dies, but this will always be one of those movies, that I could be on TV and I’ll watch it all the way to the end. To me, it’s a classic. And the fact that Leonardo Dicaprio did NOT get an Oscar for this will always leave a hole in my heart. Kate Winslet was amazing too, but Jack (Leo) died, so he shouldv’e gotten it by default.

MV5BZjk4ZTMwMTYtOTk1NC00OTA0LWFhMGYtZTBjMzViMDY2YWZjXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMTMxODk2OTU@._V1_UX182_CR0,0,182,268_AL_Passengers – If you’ve never seen this movie, I compare it a lot to Titanic. Friends I’ve told this too, they don’t see it. But I do. Plus, I love the two main characters, so much. The story line was very unique (not anything like Titanic) and it captivated me from the first 5 minutes. The emotions ran so high in this story and I felt so my sympathy for Chris Pratt’s character. Living alone in space for so long. Anyone would have done the same.

MV5BMTQ2MzYwMzk5Ml5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwOTI4NzUyMw@@._V1_UY1200_CR90,0,630,1200_AL_.jpgAnchorman – …Do I need to say why? Okay. I guess I will. Again with the one liners. It’s also a classic to me and will live with me forever. I like the decade that it takes place in as well, and like that a woman takes over in “a man’s world.” Although it was a comedy, it was refreshing and empowering part of the story. To say the least, I was in a glass case of emotion.

1200x630bbAcross the Universe – A musical with remade Beatles songs in the most creative ways. This movie seriously should have won every award out there. I will admit, before I watched this movie, I was not really a fan of the Beatles. But, the way this movie remade the songs, it really made me appreciate the message they were sending for so long. All you need is love. ❤

movieposter (2)Avatar – This is an incredible well done movie. Bravo to James Cameron. The story line, the visuals, the acting, everything. How could people not like this movie? I heard they are doing a remake and I am so pumped to see what it could be about. The ending did leave us on a cliffhanger after Jake was officially turned into an avatar, but what story could be next? I also saw this in theaters twice. Once when it came out, then again when they added an extra like, 12 minutes of bonus content. It was so worth it.

movieposter (1)The Devil Wears Prada – I think we can all agree on this one, right? It appeals to so many people, and don’t even like fashion or chic flicks. But, there’s something about the characters that makes you want to watch it, despite the industry they work for. And I’ve discovered that this was the time period in Anne Hathoways career where she had a contract that producers had to sign that she HAS to do a make over. Like seriously, she is very good at looking frumpy and then DAMN!

Do you agree with my list? If not, why? What are your favorite movies? 🙂  ##
