Post your favorite movies that you never get tired of watching.
Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby – I’m a huge Will Ferrel fan, so this is one movie that I would probably watch every day if I could. I’m not really sure why? I personally hate Nascar, but this movie kinda makes fun of it a little bit and that’s why I enjoy it, I think. Plus, there are SO many one-liners. And a great cast!
Elf – Again, Will Ferrel. This is my go-to Christmas movie. Although, I’m okay with watching this any time of the year. Zooey Deschanel plays a blonde in this as well, and she is just adorable and sings a lot in it too! Great voice, she has. I just love when Buddy finally gets to New York and discovers the most basic things for the first time. I just love it.
Titanic – Call me a sap, because I still cry at the end when Jack dies, but this will always be one of those movies, that I could be on TV and I’ll watch it all the way to the end. To me, it’s a classic. And the fact that Leonardo Dicaprio did NOT get an Oscar for this will always leave a hole in my heart. Kate Winslet was amazing too, but Jack (Leo) died, so he shouldv’e gotten it by default.
Passengers – If you’ve never seen this movie, I compare it a lot to Titanic. Friends I’ve told this too, they don’t see it. But I do. Plus, I love the two main characters, so much. The story line was very unique (not anything like Titanic) and it captivated me from the first 5 minutes. The emotions ran so high in this story and I felt so my sympathy for Chris Pratt’s character. Living alone in space for so long. Anyone would have done the same.
Anchorman – …Do I need to say why? Okay. I guess I will. Again with the one liners. It’s also a classic to me and will live with me forever. I like the decade that it takes place in as well, and like that a woman takes over in “a man’s world.” Although it was a comedy, it was refreshing and empowering part of the story. To say the least, I was in a glass case of emotion.
Across the Universe – A musical with remade Beatles songs in the most creative ways. This movie seriously should have won every award out there. I will admit, before I watched this movie, I was not really a fan of the Beatles. But, the way this movie remade the songs, it really made me appreciate the message they were sending for so long. All you need is love. ❤
Avatar – This is an incredible well done movie. Bravo to James Cameron. The story line, the visuals, the acting, everything. How could people not like this movie? I heard they are doing a remake and I am so pumped to see what it could be about. The ending did leave us on a cliffhanger after Jake was officially turned into an avatar, but what story could be next? I also saw this in theaters twice. Once when it came out, then again when they added an extra like, 12 minutes of bonus content. It was so worth it.
The Devil Wears Prada – I think we can all agree on this one, right? It appeals to so many people, and don’t even like fashion or chic flicks. But, there’s something about the characters that makes you want to watch it, despite the industry they work for. And I’ve discovered that this was the time period in Anne Hathoways career where she had a contract that producers had to sign that she HAS to do a make over. Like seriously, she is very good at looking frumpy and then DAMN!
Do you agree with my list? If not, why? What are your favorite movies? 🙂 ##
