Good morning ya’ll! Today is day 4 of the writing challenge.
Write about someone who inspires you.
This is difficult. When I think of someone who inspires me, the first person that comes to mind is my sister. She has been through a lot in her life and has so much life experience, and she’s only 35. Growing up with her, especially when she went through her teen/early 20’s phase, she was a completely different person than she is today. She really got her life together and went back to school and she is just a rock star now. The places she’s been, the people she can make friends with, and she still chooses to live with me. 🙂
The next person I think of is my mom, who is one of the best mothers anyone could ask for. After my teenage days of hating her guts and wanting to do unpleasant things to her, she and I really bonded. I think mostly after her and my dad got divorced. She changed. She became this really awesome person and I wanted to hang out with her, because she was hilarious. Not to say that she wasn’t an awesome person before, but I had the wool pulled over my eyes with blinded teenage rage hormones.
There are a lot of reasons why I look up to them. And they have certain qualities that are found in others as well. And basically when I narrow it down, I am inspired by strong females. I have a strong female in my story (who don’t need no man) and I am drawn to women who don’t need a male figure in their lives to do what they want in life. I don’t put down women who have men in their lives at all, but it’s more inspiring to me the woman who don’t let guys push them around, or think they need one to ‘fulfill’ their lives. Girl, you can do that all on your own. ##
